Valloire Bike Park

Valloire Bike Park is a mountain biking destination in the French Alps, located at the foot of the Col du Galibier in the Savoie region. The main Bike Park Valloire Galibier is situated on the Crey du Quart massif and combines purpose-built downhill trails with natural Alpine terrain, forests, mountain pastures and rocky sections.

The 2026 summer guide lists around 15 runs and 33 km of specially developed trails, including banked turns, jumps and technical features. The area is served by three lifts, providing access to terrain between approximately 1,430 and 2,300 metres.

Downhill Trails

The Valloire Galibier Bike Park features 8 downhill trails covering different difficulty levels. Riders can choose between easier runs and more technical descents with natural and purpose-built features.

The trails combine banked turns, jumps, technical passages, rocky sections and forest riding, creating varied terrain throughout the Crey du Quart area. The network includes a family-friendly blue route as well as more demanding terrain for experienced downhill riders.

One of the signature routes is La Familiale, which starts at the top of the Lac de la Vieille chairlift and descends approximately 9.4 km to Valloire, with around 905 metres of elevation difference. The route combines steep turns, freeride sections and flowing trail through fir and larch forests.

Lift Access

The Bike Park is accessed by the Crêt de la Brive gondola and the Lac de la Vieille chairlift, with the wider lift system reaching elevations from approximately 1,430 to 2,300 metres. During the main summer season, the lifts operate daily, allowing riders to link multiple descents during the day.

The Brive gondola provides access to the main Bike Park area, while the Lac de la Vieille chairlift provides access to higher terrain. The chairlift does not operate for the downhill journey, so riders return via the trails.

e-MTB and Cross-Country

Valloire also offers 5 dedicated e-MTB routes in addition to the downhill network. The wider Valloire mountain biking area contains more than 155 km of marked cycling routes, including cross-country and e-MTB itineraries.

This makes Valloire more than a dedicated downhill destination, with riders able to combine lift-assisted Bike Park laps with longer mountain bike adventures throughout the valley.

Bike Services

The Bike Park provides a bike wash area, a free trail map and access to three specialist bike shops offering rental, sales and repairs. These services make Valloire convenient for riders planning a full day or multi-day mountain biking trip.

For beginners and families, Valloire also has the separate Valloirette Bike Park, located near the village and along the Valloirette river. It features two accessible courses, one green and one blue, designed around obstacles, modules and banked turns.

With lift-accessed downhill trails, e-MTB routes, natural Alpine terrain and more than 155 km of marked cycling routes in the wider area, Valloire offers a versatile mountain biking destination in the heart of the French Alps.
