From flowing berms and jumps to steep natural enduro singletrack, Carosello 3000 offers around 50 km of mountain bike trails overlooking Livigno and the surrounding Italian Alps.

Mountain Biking Above Livigno

Located above Livigno in northern Italy, Carosello 3000 is a mountain biking destination offering a diverse network of purpose-built flow trails, technical enduro routes, scenic singletracks, and traditional mountain paths.

The Carosello 3000 Mountain currently offers around 50 km of trails, combining newly constructed flow and enduro routes with established cycling trails. The network is designed to accommodate different riding styles, from beginner-friendly scenic routes to steep and technical trails for experienced riders.

Flow Trails and Fast Descents

The flow network is built around speed, rhythm, berms, rollers, and flowing corners. These trails are accessible to beginners while also providing faster and more dynamic riding for experienced mountain bikers.

One of the signature routes is Coast to Coast, a 2.5 km beginner flow trail descending 156 metres from the top of the Carosello 3000 San Rocco gondola toward the Livigno Centro gondola and Costaccia Hut.

From Coast to Coast, riders can continue directly onto the Roller Coaster, creating a potential 10 km continuous riding experience.

Other flow-oriented trails include:

• Roller Coaster – 4 km, intermediate, 336 m descent

• Bikers United – 4.2 km, intermediate, 522 m descent

• Blueberry Line – 2.7 km, intermediate, 335 m descent

• H-Dream (Hutr) – 4.2 km, intermediate, 385 m descent

• S-Way – 1.8 km, beginner, 156 m descent

These trails provide a progression from smoother beginner-friendly riding to faster and more technical flow terrain.

H-Dream and S-Way

The H-Dream (Hutr) is designed for riders who enjoy speed and airtime. The 4.2 km intermediate trail features wide berms and rollers, with the possibility of reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h on suitable sections.

The nearby S-Way is a shorter 1.8 km beginner trail featuring speed-oriented sections, tabletops, and a halfpipe. It connects with the end of H-Dream and forms part of the flow network between the two main riding areas.

Enduro and Natural Trails

For riders looking for more technical and natural terrain, Carosello 3000 offers several enduro and singletrack routes.

The Enduro trail is a 1.6 km advanced route with 286 metres of vertical descent and an average gradient of 15.17%. The trail follows a sharp ridge above Livigno and combines steep sections with rocky and technical terrain.

The Bomb is another advanced route, combining enduro and natural terrain over 2.7 km with 407 metres of descent and an average gradient of 15.1%.

For riders wanting a longer natural descent, the Federia Single Trail leads from the top of the Carosello 3000 San Rocco gondola into the Federia Valley. The official trail information lists the route at 3.1 km with 536 metres of elevation difference, including steep and bumpy sections.

Bike Academy

Carosello 3000 also has a dedicated Bike Academy trail for riders who want to develop their mountain biking technique.

The 4.9 km beginner route descends from the top of the Valandrea Vetta chairlift toward Costaccia Hut and incorporates eight different training areas, including:

• Balance

• Step-downs

• Switchbacks

• Rock gardens

• North Shore features

• Drops

• Jumps

• Skinnies

This makes the Bike Academy a useful progression area for riders preparing for more demanding mountain routes.

Scenic Mountain Trails

Not every ride at Carosello 3000 is about downhill speed. The network also includes easier scenic routes suitable for riders who want to explore the Livigno landscape at a more relaxed pace.

Panoramica (Sentiero delle Tee) is a 5.8 km beginner-friendly two-way route following the mountainside along the Livigno valley. The trail passes traditional alpine farming buildings known as “Le Tee”, with a largely level central section and access from the mid-station of the Livigno Centro gondola.

Madonon is another beginner scenic route. The 3.2 km two-way trail leads toward the Madonna delle Rezze statue and the Involt da li Resa alpine bivouac, with views toward the Bernina Glacier. Mountain bikes are prohibited on the steep descent from Madonon toward Plascianet.

Trail Variety for Every Rider

The Carosello 3000 network includes trails ranging from beginner to advanced, allowing riders to build their skills progressively.

The current official trail network includes:

• Beginner: Coast to Coast, S-Way, Bike Academy, Madonon, Panoramica

• Intermediate: Roller Coaster, Bikers United, Blueberry Line, H-Dream, Lonely Planet, Federia Single Trail

• Advanced: Enduro and The Bomb

The mix of machine-built flow trails, technical enduro, natural singletrack, and scenic routes gives Carosello 3000 considerably more variety than a traditional downhill-only bike park.

Lift Access

Riders can access the mountain using the Carosello 3000 gondola from San Rocco, the Livigno Centro / Sitas gondola, and the Valandrea Vetta chairlift. A summer Bike Pass provides access to the lifts and the Carosello 3000 Mountain Park trail network.

For the 2026 summer season, Carosello 3000's main cableway is scheduled to operate from June 20 to September 13, while the Livigno Centro / Sitas cableway operates from July 1 to August 31.
