Mountain Biking at Czarna Góra

Located in Sienna in southwestern Poland, near the Czech border, Czarna Góra Bike Park is part of the Czarna Góra Resort in the Śnieżnik Massif. The park is designed primarily for riders who enjoy lift-served downhill riding, with bikes transported uphill by the Luxtorpeda and Efka lifts.

The current bike park features 19 new or modernized trails covering different difficulty levels, giving beginners, recreational riders, and experienced downhill riders a choice of terrain throughout the day.

19 Downhill Trails

The trail network is divided between the two lifts, creating different riding experiences depending on the rider's ability and preferred style.

Luxtorpeda

The fast Luxtorpeda lift takes riders with their bikes to the summit of Czarna Góra. From the top, riders can access 14 downhill and enduro-oriented trails.

Efka

The Efka lift provides access to six shorter trails in the lower part of the mountain. According to the official resort information, these trails are particularly suitable for riders who are learning, warming up, or progressing toward more difficult terrain.

The Efka network includes:

The trails combine flowing sections, berms, rollers, jumps, bridges, and natural terrain.

Trails for Progression

Czarna Góra offers a particularly broad progression range. Riders can start with easier terrain around the Efka lift before moving onto more demanding trails accessed from Luxtorpeda.

Several of the Efka trails are designed with progression in mind. Dual Slalom, for example, features berms, rollers, open corners, and flat rock sections over approximately 450 metres.

Dirt is around 460 metres long and includes larger jumps and tabletops with bypass options, while Top Gun combines rollers, tabletops, berms, and corners in a relatively accessible layout.

Muflon

One of the more distinctive trails in the Efka section is Muflon, a 720-metre singletrack featuring berms, tabletops, wooden and stone bridges, and a mixture of natural and rocky surfaces.

The upper section is designed as an easier flow section, while the lower part introduces more challenging elements for intermediate riders. The trail also passes through a wetland section, giving it a different character from the more conventional machine-built trails.

Kids and Skills Arena

Czarna Góra also provides dedicated areas for developing riding skills away from the main downhill network.

The Kids Arena is designed to introduce children to mountain biking, while the same area can also be used by adults as a Skills Arena. Riders can practice cornering, obstacle avoidance, and basic bike-handling skills before progressing onto the larger mountain trails.

The resort also offers access to bike instructors and a cycling school, making the area suitable for riders who want structured coaching and progression.

Two Lifts for Different Riding Styles

One of the main advantages of the current Czarna Góra setup is the combination of two bike-accessible lifts.

Luxtorpeda carries riders all the way to the summit and provides access to the more advanced upper-mountain network. Efka finishes lower on the mountain and provides access to shorter, easier trails that are particularly useful for beginners and riders warming up.

Both lifts are equipped for transporting bikes. The official 2026 information also notes a weight restriction for e-bikes up to 18 kg when using Luxtorpeda or Efka.

Bike Rental and Services

Czarna Góra Resort provides facilities that allow visitors to arrive with their own bike or rent equipment locally.

Riding Season

The official Bike Park Czarna Góra opening schedule for 2026 shows riding throughout the summer and into autumn.

During September, Luxtorpeda operates on Fridays, while both Luxtorpeda and Efka operate on Saturdays and Sundays. In October, both lifts are scheduled to operate on weekends from 9:00 to 17:00.

The 2026 season started on May 1, although temporary lift problems caused some changes to the early-May operating schedule.
